Aim Athletes is a field hockey club team consisting of developmental and elite travel teams for U12-U19 age divisions. We also offer a Junior Academy for players age 4-9. Boys and girls are welcome!
Field Hockey in the winter is played on a hard surface, games are 6v6, and rules are modified just a bit. If you are new to "indoor field hockey" watch some games on youtube. It is super fast so your stick skills will improve immensely.

Tryouts for the Travel Teams
All athletes interested in playing with AIM this winter need to tryout to be on the team; even if you played with AIM in the past.
You only need to attend 1 tryout. Tryouts are $35 and held at the Newtown Youth Academy on the basketball courts.
October 25 6-7:30pm OR November 16 8-10am
(high schoolers in CIAC need to attend the Nov tryout)

Private & Small Group Instruction
Nov & Dec are for Private & Small Group Instruction!
For the player that wants to improve the quickest there is no replacement for private instruction. Players that receive private instruction one to two times weekly over an extended period of time will confirm that some of their biggest improvements in their skill came from this level of consistency.

Developmental Team
New to field hockey or can only commit 1 day a week to field hockey? No problem. The developmental team introduces players to the game of field hockey. On this team, we practice 1x a week and aim to develop your skills to become a competitive player.

Elite Travel Team
Want more of a commitment? The elite travel team focuses on improving player's existing skills at a competitive level. They meet 2x a week and attend tournaments throughout the season. We are looking for high-level, dedicated players who will challenge themselves and their teammates to be better.
